There's nothing fancy about Papa Romeo's Pizza. You order at the counter, the joint has just a few tables and no decorations, and the pizza isn't killer stuffed pizza like at Giordano's or pizza with a wow-worthy crispy-thin crust. The greasy, hand-tossed cheese pizza fills the gut but doesn't make a big, lasting impression. If it's speedy service or late-night delivery that you're after, though, this is the place for greasy grub at fairly reasonable prices.
The place doesn't serve up individual slices, but individual six-inch pizzas start at just $7. Pizza varieties include original hand-tossed, thin and deep dish, and pizza sizes go up to a 16-incher. Specialty pizzas include the super combo, with green peppers, onions, mushrooms, pepperoni, ham, black olives, ground beef and sausage; Hawaiian fiesta, with ham and pineapple; and BBQ chicken with grilled chicken and barbecue sauce.
The restaurant makes not only pizza but also buffalo wings, barbecue ribs, Italian beef sandwiches, meatball sandwiches smothered in marinara sauce, cheese bread, fries, jalapeno poppers, chili, an assortment of salads, and twisty breadsticks accompanied by pizza sauce and garlic sauce. So, if you have the late-night munchies, Papa Romeo’s may hit the spot.
